Imagine dozens or even hundreds of miles of singletrack mountain biking trails right here on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
What was once a dream is becoming a reality through the work of a group of dedicated volunteers called ESIMBA. The Eastern Shore IMBA is a new 501c3 chapter of the world-renowned (link) International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).
Our territory is the mid and lower Eastern Shore of Maryland and the Eastern Shore of Virginia, which specifically includes the counties of Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset in Maryland and Accomack and Northhamptom in Virginia. Sussex and Kent Counties in Delaware already fall under an IMBA chapter called (hyperlink) the Delaware Trailspinners. IMBA members who live in Sussex can choose which chapter they wish their dues money to go to and we can and will work with Delaware Trailspinners on joint projects in both territories.
Our members are people just like you, local folks who got together and decided that trails weren’t just going to build themselves. Some of our members have never even ridden a mountain bike, but believe in the value of trails to the general health and wellbeing of our community and families.

Trails for biking and hiking-lets make it happen!
So cool. I can’t wait to hit-up some local trails.
